Dr. Pierson comes to us after completing a 3 year residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida where he was Chief Resident from July 2016 through June 2017. Welcome to Podiatry Associates, P.C., the podiatry practice of Dr. Robert I. Russell, Dr. James H. Bowman, and Dr. Stewart Pierson. We take great pride in providing our patients with customized care for their concerns. Podiatry Associates, P.C. has been serving Birmingham and Sylacauga, Alabama, and its surrounding communities since 1965. We have been at our current Southside Birmingham location since 1986.

Our podiatrists specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders and conditions of the foot. Podiatrists need to have the skills and expertise in orthopedics, radiology, sports medicine, dermatology and surgery. Some of the conditions a Podiatrist may diagnose and treat include:
